2019 IU Tour Concert 'Love, Poem' in Kuala Lumpur

On Dec 21, 2019, IU held her first ever full-fledged concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The concert attracted 8,400 spectators from all around the world including the locals and fans from South Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and many more.

Since early morning, many fans could be seen very excited as they arrived early at Axiata Arena to take memorable pictures with the IU banners located near the main entrance. 

At around 5.00pm, the crowd entered the venue and were assisted by the staff at the concert venue to their respective seat. To make 'Love, Poem' in Kuala Lumpur a memorable night for both IU and Ku-aenas, items including banners, fingerlights, photocards, balloons and concert fanproject instruction papers were placed under each seat by IU Malaysia Fanpage (MYIU) beforehand. 

Soon, IU made her stunning appearance on the stage in white glittering dress and kicked off the concert with her first performance 'unlucky', a song she sang to cheer herself on. 

After performing her hit track 'Palette' , IU greeted Ku-aenas warmly for the first time as she said 'apa khabar Ku-aenas' and 'terima kasih', to express her gratitude for Ku-aenas' resounding fanchant in her cute Malay accent.

She also shared that since this was her first ever concert in Malaysia, she especially told her hairstylist to add more hairpins so she could leave a wonderful first impression on Ku-aenas! Of course, Ku-aenas melted at her sweetness and sincerity!

IU then introduced 'Autumn Morning' as the next song she would be singing and told her fans to only 'focus on her voice' when watching the performance. She also made her fans swooned with 'Friday' as she pointed towards a lucky fan and proceeded to sing the lyrics 'woo, are you free on Friday~?'. IU sure knows how to capture the hearts of Ku-aenas! Finally, she ended the first part of her showcase with 'Secret Garden' and shared that the lyrics serves as a reminder to all her fans out there to 'forget about the things yesterday, everyone makes slight mistakes, no one is perfect because look at me, who is filled with mistakes and loneliness as well'.
